The 18th Reggie Padua Cup Invitational Golf Tournament, held recently at Hallow Ridge Filipinas Golf Inc. in San Pedro, Laguna, once again proved how the game of golf can bring people together for a greater cause.

Organized by the UP Triskelion Alumni, Inc. (UPTAI), in partnership with SOCEX Consulting Corporation, the event gathered close to 100 players, Triskelion brothers, Sisters, and distinguished guests, all driven by one goal: to support the Hematology Unit of the National Children’s Hospital (NCH). Proceeds from the tournament will help young patients in need of vital medications and dialysis treatments – a true testament to the Triskelion spirit of Strength, Freewill, and Brotherhood.

A Message to our Valued Customers: AMA Bank on Transparency and Trust

We are pleased to inform you that we have reached compromise agreements with the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) and the Philippine Deposit Insurance Corporation (PDIC), which were signed on June 23, 2025 and March 14, 2025, respectively, resolving the legal issues from our closure in November 2019. These agreements have made possible the payment of our deposit liabilities.

From the P259 million returned by PDIC, we have begun releasing payments to deposit accounts with balances of P250,000 and below. As of today, 87% of our deposit liabilities under this bracket have been paid.

It has been almost four months from the execution of the compromise agreement with BSP, and we understand that our depositors with balances above P250,000 have been anxiously awaiting payment of their deposit accounts. The payments for this bracket will be sourced from the Bank’s receivables from the Department of Education (DepEd), amounting to P982 million as confirmed by DepEd to BSP, the release of which has been pending for more than three months. Per an update from DepEd, the Office of the Solicitor General recommended certain revisions to the draft Compromise Agreement between AMA Bank and DepEd, which proposed revisions were promptly accepted by AMA Bank. Final clearances for the release of the receivables from DepEd are now actively being secured from DepEd’s Office of the Secretary and Finance Department, according to DepEd’s Atty. Mark Josel Vivit.

Predator League announces 2026 Philippine Qualifiers with Php1.2M prize pool at stake

The fight for glory and honor begins! Predator League returns with the 2026 Philippine Qualifiers, and it’s bigger than ever. With a Php 1.2M prize pool and the Predator Shield on the line, teams from across the country will display their skills and talent in Dota 2, VALORANT, and for the first time in Predator League history, League of Legends.
The battle horn has sounded, and teams have answered its call. Online and offline qualifiers started last September 19, giving every aspiring esports professional the chance to showcase their skills and kickstart their careers. 

“We’re excited to kick off the Predator League 2026 PH Qualifiers. Acer has always supported the growth of esports talent in the Philippines, and the Predator League has served as its proving ground,” said Sue Ong-Lim, Managing Director of Acer Philippines. 

The competition is fierce, but the rewards are massive! Dota 2 and VALORANT champions will claim the lion’s share of Php 200,000, while runners-up will receive Php 120,000. Third and fourth place finishers will earn Php 50,000 each, and fifth and sixth place finishers won’t leave empty-handed with Php 20,000.

For League of Legends, the winning team will get Php 100,000, and the runner-up will take home Php 50,000. Third and fourth place finishers will receive Php 15,000 each, while fifth and sixth place finishers will walk away with Php 5,000.

Besides the prize money, winning Dota 2 and VALORANT teams are also guaranteed a spot as the Philippine representatives for the Asia Pacific Predator League 2026 Grand Finals, scheduled to take place in India early next year.

The Observatory is gearing up for the completion of its first residential tower in 2030: the Sora Tower. Its Japanese name, meaning ‘sky,’ reflects its soaring presence over the city, whilst drawing inspiration from Tokyo’s dynamic Shibuya district.

Potential homeowners can get a glimpse of what’s to come at The Observatory Sales Pavilion. The tour begins at the reception area, which also features a scale model that presents the vision for the complex. The space is defined by expansive glass windows that open it up to outside views. By day, passersby are greeted with lush landscaping, a serene contrast to the bustle of Pioneer Street; by night, the same inviting space glows like a lantern, casting a warm illumination against the city backdrop.

During the tour, guests are guided from the reception to the model units along a green path that runs between the two areas. This refreshing transition from enclosed spaces to an open-air haven embodies The Observatory’s mission of making complete, convenient, and comfortable living experiences more accessible to the urban population. Beyond the calming scenery, the seamless integration of the outdoors and indoors creates a sense of privacy conducive to relaxation, prayer, study, and renewal. The design also reflects the actual plan for the 4.5-hectare township where walkable, open spaces are intentionally designed to prioritize safety, connectivity, and ease of access throughout the community.

Following this, the Sales Pavilion experience continues with model unit viewings of the studio, one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom configurations. Each highlights distinct lifestyles and personalities, offering aspirational narratives of how future homeowners might live within a modern haven inspired by Japanese design principles.

Common to all units are the functional amenities and creative storage solutions that enable residents to adapt their space to their current stage of life. Among these are the genkan, a traditional shoe storage and entryway feature integrated into all unit types. There is also a pull-out counter exclusive to one-bedroom units, while a pull-out panel is distinct to the studio unit.

The Observatory Sales Pavilion experience concludes at the view deck on the second floor—a prelude to The Observatory’s panoramic views of the iconic BGC skyline from the riverside.
