The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) presents Food Festival 2025—a three-day showcase celebrating the richness of Filipino gastronomy and the innovative spirit of local food micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). Happening from May 30 to June 1, 2025, at Megatrade Halls 1–3, SM Megamall, the festival will spotlight over 250 MSME exhibitors from across the country, blending culinary tradition with technology and innovation.
The DTI Food Festival 2025 also marks the launch of the DTI Malikhaing Pinoy Website, a key milestone for the Philippine Gastronomy Creative Industry. Known as the “National Gateway to Filipino Creativity and Business,” the website is a technological space for the DTI B2B Marketplace online platform and is designed to connect Filipino MSMEs with a wider market. It features three core functions: “Connect“, offering a registry of creatives and a directory of creative industry organizations; “Learn”, provides access to formal and informal learning opportunities such as workshops, seminars, masterclasses, and college courses in the creative industries; and “Thrive”, a channel to funding programs from government and private sectors aimed to support, nurture, and scale creative enterprises.
Anchored in the Tatak Pinoy Strategy Program, the festival supports the acceleration of MSME competitiveness and digital adoption. It serves as a platform to showcase heritage-inspired food products from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao through curated exhibits, live cooking demonstrations, and the featured Kayumanggi Philippine heritage recipe book. It also celebrates Iloilo City’s designation as a UNESCO Creative City for Gastronomy, underscoring the region’s rich cultural and culinary heritage.
To equip MSMEs for long-term growth, the festival features a dedicated digital collaboration zone with technology partners, providing access to tools for e-commerce, logistics, digital payments, and marketing. It further promotes innovation and storytelling, encouraging food MSMEs to embrace heritage-driven product development while scaling through digital platforms.
DTI Food Festival 2025 is more than a food show—it’s a national celebration of Filipino creativity and resilience. By integrating technology and cultural identity, it aims to transform MSMEs into globally competitive brands.
While distinct from the National Food Fair (NFF), the Food Festival 2025 shares the DTI’s mission to uplift MSMEs. It stands out by focusing on immersive experiences, digital integration, and creative gastronomy, signaling a more forward-looking approach in support of Filipino food entrepreneurs.
The fair is expected to draw participation from MSMEs across the National Capital Region, Western Visayas (particularly Iloilo City), and other key regions such as Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, and CALABARZON, reflecting its broad national scope.
The DTI invites the public to experience this unique fusion of Filipino culinary heritage and digital innovation. Together, let’s celebrate the flavors from the regions and the future of Filipino food.
