Following collaborations with some of the country’s celebrated artists, including stage performances with Chie Filomeno and appearances in music videos for Maris Racal and M1ss Jade So, all-women dance collective TG of MNL presents its most ambitious work to date. On August 29, 2026, the group premieres Daydream, its first full-length dance showcase and an immersive performance that invites audiences into the unseen emotional landscapes women navigate every day.

Co-presented by Studio At The Third, Daydream opens at 7:00 PM at Studio At The Third, located at 8 Third Street, Villamor Air Base, Pasay City. The showcase marks TG of MNL’s fourth anniversary as a dance collective, celebrating four years of creating spaces where movement becomes a language for storytelling, community, and women’s lived experiences.

Women spend much of their lives moving. Through responsibilities and expectations. Through labor that is both visible and invisible. Yet beyond physical work exists another form of labor that often goes unnoticed: the work of imagining.

Inspired by research on women’s daydreaming and

Leslie Jamison’s essay Dreamers in Broad Daylight, the showcase examines daydreams not

as moments of distraction but as spaces where women rehearse futures, process emotions, solve problems, and imagine lives beyond the boundaries imposed upon them.

“Daydream” transforms this idea into an immersive performance experience. Rather than remaining seated as passive spectators, audiences are invited to move through the performance space alongside the dancers. Sound, touch, objects, spatial proximity, and atmosphere become choreographic tools that shape each encounter. Like a daydream itself, the experience unfolds in nonlinear, intimate, and deeply personal ways.

Across multiple choreographic works, the showcase journeys through memories, ambitions, fears, regrets, longing, joy, and imagined possibilities. Each piece reflects the countless stories women carry with them every day. As TG of MNL celebrates four years of building spaces for women through dance, Daydream serves both as an artistic offering and a quiet act of recognition. It honors the inner lives women continue to nurture even while navigating a world shaped by survival.

“We live at the crossroads of survival,” the collective shares. “Yet the feminine spirit continues to wander. Sometimes, in those moments of wandering, women imagine worlds large enough to hold their fullest selves. Selves that are loving, pursuing, and dreaming.”
